| ARTIST BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: | Born in England, Jerzy Tadeusz Gawlak is a Canadian painter and visual artist, who studied at Norwich School of Art, and Goldsmith College, University of London; attaining his Dip.A.D. (Post graduate).
Gawlak moved to Canada in 1980 and became a citizen. That same year he began work at the University of Alberta as an artist technician for the Department of Art and Design. He retired 30 years later in 2010.
Gawlak was represented by Kathleen Laverty Gallery and later the Scott Gallery in Edmonton, Alberta. His work is in corporate and private collections across Canada and abroad. |
