| OTHER HOLDINGS: | Christiansen, Cam | ARTIST BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: | Born in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, Cam Christiansen has become a successful artist, animator and filmmaker. Cam earned his Diploma in Painting from the Alberta College of Art + Design in 1993. He also studied at Kristiansand Husfhoskøl in Norway and at the University of Alberta. Cam’s artwork has been shown in exhibitions in Calgary and Italy. He is also the Principal at Anlanda Digital Studio, where his clients have included Dell, Mercedes Benz and Rolex.
Collaborator and innovator, Cam has extended his endeavours to include working on animated films. His film work has been shown at a variety of international film festivals, and his piece, I Have Seen the Future, was named one of the top 10 shorts at the 2007 Toronto International Film Festival and won best animated/experimental short film at the Los Angeles Film Festival. I Have Seen the Future also had the distinction of having being the official selection to The 2008 Sundance Film Festival and was short-listed for an Academy Award in the same year. His film The Real Place was selected for the Sundance Film Festival in 2009. |
