| ARTIST BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: | Nola Cassady was born in Edmonton, Alberta and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts, with distinction, from the University of Alberta in 1997. Nola is proud of her Alberta roots and expresses this deep connection with her family, history and environment in her paintings and drawings. Paying close attention to colour, Nola seeks to highlight the beauty of the everyday – objects and images are made special through the touch of Nola’s hand. Working in watercolours and pastels, Nola brings the beauty of the images she sees every day to life.
Nola’s work has been shown publicly at Nextfest 2000 and at the Harcourt House Gallery in 2000. She donates her time and her work to help support the Alberta art community.
