ARTIST BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: Rébecca Bourgault grew up in St-Jean-Port-Joli, Québec. She graduated with a BFA from Concordia University, Montréal in 1990 and completed her MFA at the University of Calgary in 1994. She currently lives and works in Calgary where she teaches at the Alberta College of Art & Design. Bourgault's work has been exhibited regionally and nationally, and in 2004 she was selected for a three-month residency at the Ted Harrison Artist Retreat in Carcross, Yukon. Much of her recent artistic research has been directed towards urban culture and environment, with a strong interest in site-specific installations in outdoors locations.
