| OTHER HOLDINGS: | andJenn, Dave | ARTIST BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: | David Foy, from Edmonton, Albert, and Jennifer Saleik, from Velbert, Germany, have been collaborators since 2004. Both Foy and Saleik received Fine Art Diplomas from MacEwan University in 2003, and in 2006 graduated with distinction from the Alberta University of the Arts. Their first appearance as DaveandJenn was in their graduating exhibition. From the beginning, experimenting with form and materials has been an important aspect of their work, which includes painting, sculpture, installation, animation and digital video.
DaveandJenn’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, showcasing at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, Galerie de l’UQAM in Montreal, Onsite Gallery in Toronto, the Dunlop Art Gallery in Regina, and the Art Gallery of Hamilton in Ontario. Solo shows and projects include exhibitions at the Art Gallery of Alberta, Queen’s Square Gallery in Cambridge, the BMO Project Room in Toronto, the Musée d’art de Joliette, and the Nickle Galleries, Glenbow Museum, and the Esker Foundation in Calgary.
Their work is held in both private and public collections throughout North America, including the Royal Bank of Canada, the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, the Calgary Civic Art Collection, the Art Gallery of Hamilton, the Glenbow Museum and the Nickle Galleries.
