ARTIST BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: Lauren Chipeur is an artist based in Calgary, Alberta, on Treaty 7 Territory. Her practice investigates the chemistry and complexity of matter as a way to untangle or distill new ways to know things. She has exhibited at galleries and artist-run spaces, including the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie and the Southern Alberta Art Gallery in Lethbridge, and Centre Clark in Montréal, Quebec, and Forest City Gallery in London, Ontario. Her work has received support from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, Calgary Arts Development and Canada Council for the Arts.
