HISTORY/BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: The Legislative Assembly of Alberta meets at the Legislature Building located in the province's capital, Edmonton, Alberta at 10800, 97th Ave. The Legislative Assembly of Alberta and the Lieutenant-Governor of Alberta comprise the Legislature of Alberta. The Legislative Assembly consists of eighty-three elected members of electoral districts of the Province of Alberta.
CUSTODIAL HISTORY:In 1998, the Provincial Archives of Alberta acquired the material from the Legislature Library.
SCOPE AND CONTENT: The collection consists of 95 photographs featuring the members of the Legislative Assembly, Legislative Interns, Legislative Assembly Pages, and Legislative Assembly Security dating from 1905 - 1996. The collection also includes a publication entitled, A Native Heritage featuring drawings by Mort Graham. The collection also contains several photographs by Ernest Brown featuring images of the site of the Chief Factor of the Hudson Bay Co. residence in Edmonton, Alberta, views of Edmonton streets including Jasper, Ranchers, Prospectors, and Fort Edmonton circa 1903 - 1930.
