In brief, vital statistics (i.e. birth, marriage, and death) records are available for some communities in Alberta for the time period ca. 1870 - 1980. These records are not indexed; they are organized by community and then by date. Therefore, to find a specific individual, it would be necessary to know both where in Alberta and approximately when someone was born, married, and/or died.
