The Provincial Archives of Alberta holds brand registration records for Alberta for the time period approximately 1894 to 1994.

You are welcome to visit the Provincial Archives in person to review these records; there is no charge to use the facilities.

In the alternative, contract researchers are available to search the records on your behalf. The cost of a brand search is $40 per name.

To undertake a search, we would need to know the name of the individual who had the brand, whether it was a horse or cattle brand, and the approximate time frame when it was registered.
