I am researching the life of a Metis woman Catherine Bouvier Lamoureux (nee Beaulieu), b.1830s, d. 1918. I have a reference in M. McCarthy, From the Great River to the Ends of the Earth (Univ. of Alberta Press, 1995), p.229, footnote 31 to the following Provincial Archives of Alberta Holding:
PAA 84.400/957, 'Notes et souvenirs de Mgr. Grandin.' I've tried various searches online but this isn't coming up. Do you have this collection?
Accession PR1984.0400 is part of the Archival holdings of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. These records are physically stored at the Provincial Archives of Alberta, but they remain the legal property of the Oblates. Their archivist administers access to the records; they are not yet described in the online database.
