My parents were divorced in 1982 and i am interested in obtaining a copy of the court transcripts. First - are transcripts kept of divorce proceedings? Second, am I, as the son, able to get a copy of the transcript and the divorce decree including any alimony and child support orders?
The Provincial Archives of Alberta does not hold any divorce records from 1982. These records would remain in the custody of the Court that originally heard the matter.
Your other questions would best be directed to the Court that holds the records.
