Some religious organizations have deposited their archival records with the Provincial Archives of Alberta. These include the Anglican Diocese of Edmonton and Athabasca, the Alberta Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, and the Alberta and Northwest Conference of the United Church of Canada.

Many faith groups maintain their own archives and so they do not deposit records with the Provincial Archives.
