The Provincial Archives of Alberta holds homestead records for Alberta for the time period ca. 1880 - 1930. There is no charge to come to the Provincial Archives in person to search these records.

Note that a homestead was normally 160 acres in extent. A smaller parcel of land would have been purchased. Records concerning the purchase and sale of land are held by:
