Question Number 395
Do you have all historic photos in your data base?
The Provincial Archives of Alberta holds approximately 2.5 million historic photographs for Alberta. At the present time, only about 15,000 of these images are searchable in our online database.
You are welcome to visit the Provincial Archives in person to review our photograh holdings; there is no charge to use the facilities.
In the alternative, contract researchers are available to search these records on your behalf. The rate is Cdn$40 per hour (minimum of 1 hour, prepaid).
The Provincial Archives of Alberta requires payment in advance for all orders. We can accept Visa and MasterCard, or we can invoice you. The research will commence once payment has been received. There is a Cdn$3.00 mail-out charge, and GST is charged on all Canadian orders. Unfortunately, the Provincial Archives cannot accept personal cheques.
If you wish to hire a contract researcher, please contact us.
