The Provincial Archives of Alberta holds numerous photographs of oil rigs in Alberta. Unfortunately, we do not hold any photographs of wells owned or operated by the North Pacific Oil Company.
You are welcome to visit the Provincial Archives in person to review these photographs; there is no charge to use the facilities.
In the alternative, contract researchers are available to search these records on your behalf. The rate is Cdn$40 per hour (minimum of 1 hour, prepaid).
The Provincial Archives of Alberta requires payment in advance for all orders. We can accept Visa and MasterCard, or we can invoice you. The research will commence once payment has been received. There is a Cdn$3.00 mail-out charge, and GST is charged on all Canadian orders. Unfortunately, the Provincial Archives cannot accept personal cheques.
If you wish to hire a contract researcher, please contact us.
Note that the Provincial Archives is closed between December 21, 2008 and January 5, 2009, inclusive. The Provincial Archives will reopen on Tuesday, January 6, 2009.
The Glenbow Archives also has extensive photograph holdings relating to the oil industry; that institution may hold photographs of North Pacific Oil Co. #1:
