Records created after 1905 are organised by place; therefore it is necessary to know where in Alberta the event took place and approximately when. Please note that the Provincial Archives does not hold records for every year, nor for every community in Alberta. Records not held by the Provincial Archives are still in the custody of the Vital Statistics Office. Vital statistics records cannot be photocopied, but transcripts can be provided for $10.00 per record.
