Local history books are always a good place to begin research into historical towns, such as the book "Land of the Lakes: A Story of Settlement and Development of the Country West of Buffalo Lake" published by the Lamerton Historical Society in 1974. The PAA has a copy of this book and many others on Lamerton and other towns.
