Is there on-line access to birth records in Alberta in 1951? If so, how does one go about accessing records for a birth when the only information known is the gender, general location and date?
Alberta birth records are not currently searchable online. The Provincial Archives of Alberta holds birth registration records for some (but not all) communities in Alberta for 1951.
These records are not indexed; they are organised by community and then by date. To locate a birth registration it is necessary to know both where in Alberta and when someone was born.
