| ARTIST BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: | Bill Simpkins was educated in Fine Arts at the University of Calgary and at the Banff Centre in Alberta. He worked at the Red Deer Advocate as chief photographer and joined the Calgary Herald about 1970, becoming chief photographer about 1976. In the 1990s he moved to St. John's, Newfoundland as manager of Government Relations and Public Affairs for Hibernia Management and Development Company Ltd. |
