Upon graduation from the University of Alberta, he became an Instructor of Sculpture, Drawing, and Design at the Alberta College of Art and Design (formerly Alberta College of Art), where he taught until he took up an administrative role at the College in the late 1980s. He is now retired in Victoria, BC. Craig’s work is held in the collections of Petro Canada, Diamond-Shamrock Exploration of Canada Ltd., the University of Alberta, and the Alberta Foundation for the Arts. He has given public talks at Off Centre Gallery, Calgary and at the University of Lethbridge, and exhibited regionally throughout his career. His work was notably included in the exhibition Selections from the Alberta Art Foundation Collection (1977) and An Exhibition to Commemorate the Commonwealth Games (1978). His Temple series, exhibited at the Southern Alberta Art Gallery (1985) and Off Centre Gallery Calgary (1986), create contemplative environments in which to explore the temple: an architectural space designed by man in response to his need to acknowledge the unexplainable.
