ARTIST BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, painter Brian Clute studied at the School of Art and Design based out of the Montreal Museum of Fine Art, graduating in 1967. Brian subsequently relocated to High River, Alberta. His paintings have been exhibited in High River and Calgary and some of his works are held in the public collections of the Banff School of Fine Arts and the Alberta Foundation for the Arts. Brian’s paintings are both fine art and meditations. Through a process of applying small brush strokes, Brian achieves a feeling of peace in himself and also on the canvas. In juxtaposition to the serenity, his paintings also feature predominant shapes and a sense of liveliness.
