The division eventually amalgamated 103 school districts. The Division headquartered in the Town of Oyen. After 1998, Acadia School Division No. 8 became the Prairie Rose Regional Division No. 8. | | CUSTODIAL HISTORY: | Acadia School Division No. 8 regularly donated records to the Provincial Archives of Alberta on a permanent loan basis throughout the 1970's and 1980's. In 1998, the Provincial Archives of Alberta sought to change the status of these donations from permanent loan to gift status. Following the dissolution of the Acadia School Division No. 8, Prairie Rose Regional Division No. 8 possessed authority for the disposition of the records of the former Division.
