HISTORY/BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: Sylvia Robertson was born to Laura Robertson (nee Squibb) and Albert John Robertson, who was a conservative Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from 1905 to circa (ca.) 1909.
CUSTODIAL HISTORY:The Provincial Archives of Alberta purchased these records in 1977 from Alan Powell of Bytown Glass in Ottawa, Ontario. The records were sifted out of an accumulation of material at Bytown Glass.
SCOPE AND CONTENT: Fonds consists of the personal records of Sylvia Robertson and includes dance cards, invitations, and programmes for various events at the Al Azhar Temple, the Canadian Women's Press Club, Alberta College and the Hotel Palliser. Fonds also includes greeting cards and a political pamphlet for Conservative MLA Albert John Robertson.
