HISTORY/BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: Walter Harvey Dunworth was born circa 1870 and lived in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In 1898, he journeyed to Alberta to join the Klondike Gold Rush. Dunworth took the Overland route via Edmonton and the Athabasca River. After traveling for a winter, Dunworth turned back, and he returned to Nova Scotia. Walter Harvey Dunworth died circa 1950.
SCOPE AND CONTENT: The fonds consists of a diary documenting Walter Henry Dunworth's attempt to reach the Klondike from 1898 - 1899.
