| SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The series consists of records from the Field Services Division, whose mandate was to provide leadership, coordination, administrative support, long range planning and facilities development for Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, agricultural colleges, Alberta Vocational Centres, Community Vocational Centres and private vocational schools in Alberta.
This series contains committee records which have minutes, agendas and background documentation, and reports submitted by L.W. Downey Research Associates, the main one titled Toward a System of Adult Education for Northwestern Alberta and Northeastern British Columbia. The series also contains a small amount of files documenting individual vocational colleges or vocational training programs at Fort McMurray, Janvier, Lac La Biche, Syncrude and Cold Lake.
