| SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The series consists of records relating to the duties/responsibilities of the Office of the Farmers Advocate of Alberta, which was established in 1973 when the incumbent Minister of Agriculture recognized the need for an office that could deal effectively with the concerns of Alberta farmers. The records include subject files containing correspondence on various programs and projects relating to matters impacting or involving the Farmer's Advocate Office (1979-1996), and correspondence relating to the chairperson's involvement on various committees that deal with farm issues (1985-1999).
