ADMINISTRATIVE
SCOPE AND CONTENT: The series consists of records documenting the activities and programs of the Dairy Division and its predecessors, including records of the Dairy Commissioner; records of the branches of the Division; and information pertaining to dairy statistics, inspection of dairy herds, herd improvement programs, consumer safety regarding dairy products, and milk and cheese production. Records also include those of the Dairy Processing Branch, the Dairy Herd Improvement Branch, and Dairy Farm Inspection Branch. Includes photographs of Dairy Division activities, class photos of agricultural colleges including the Provincial Agricultural School at Olds, dairy farms, farmers, creameries, cows, trade show exhibits, conventions and milk production. Also includes a pastel drawing by Nicholas de Grandmaison of the first Dairy Commissioner, C.P. Marker. The documentation includes speeches, pamphlets, statistics, meeting notes, licenses, minutes, memoranda, correspondence, circulars, and other records.
