| SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The series consists of records from Employment Counselling and Relocation Services, whose mandate was to assist in the geographical and social relocation of northern families to growth centres with better employment opportunities. Services included counselling in home maintenance and adjustment to a new lifestyle. The program operated in cooperation with the Alberta Housing Corporation.
This series contains case files for families participating in the program. Included on the files may be information on family composition, transitional housing needs, and relocation grants.
The Provincial Archives selected these files as samples of the operations of the program.
