| SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The series consists of records from the Office of the Deputy Minister of Career Development and Employment.
This series contains records related to the Manpower Services Division. Included are minutes and correspondence of the Alberta Manpower Committee, the Federal-Provincial Manpower Needs Committee, and other various internal departmental committees such as the Deputy Minister's Advisory Council, the Deputy Minister's Department Council, and the Deputy Minister's Executive Committee; correspondence on the proposed development of career counselling centres in Pincher Creek and Lethbridge; correspondence on manpower services for natives; correspondence on manpower needs for the Mackenzie Pipeline and the Alcan Pipeline; correspondence on the Community Employment Strategy Program for Lac La Biche; correspondence on the Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Board including program proposals for technical training; and various International Cultural Agreements.
These records were sampled by the Provincial Archives to provide evidence of the operations of the Office of the Deputy Minister of the Department of Career Development and Employment.
