| SCOPE AND CONTENT: | Series consists of records documenting the Department of Community and Occupational Health functions of overseeing the province's Vital Statistics program, which is responsible for the civil registration of births, marriages and deaths. The series consists of vital statistics registers created and maintained by district registrars; registers kept by marriage commissioners appointed to larger population centres; church registers from congregations which no longer exist; and cemetery registers. |
