SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The series consists of records which document the Branch's responsibility to ensure that credit unions are operating in full compliance with governing legislation. The records include: annual returns; quarterly reports; lists of officers; financial statements; balance sheets; auditors' reports; minutes; bylaws; irregular loans reports; delinquent loans reports; business loans analyses; inspection reports; correspondence; and examination reports (1931-1987). The records also include annual reports of the Credit Union Federation of Alberta Limited, Credit Union Central, and the Credit Union Stabilization Corporation (1966-1986), as well as records of dissolved credit unions, including credit union incorporation documentation; memorandums of association; bylaws; affidavits; instruments of dissolution; annual reports; notices of amalgamation; and correspondence (1938-1980). |
