| SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The series consists of administrative and operational records from the Early Childhood Services Program. The mandate of this Program was to develop, implement, evaluate and maintain programs that would meet the physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs of young children and their families and of Early Childhood Services operators across the province.
The operational files include Early Childhood Service evaluations of programs, reports, general correspondence, proposals and applications from public and private operators to run individual programs; correspondence, reports and minutes of the Early Childhood Services Provincial Coordinating Council; operational committee files including minutes, correspondence and reports; program development records for early childhood services, including minutes, policy documents, proposals, and evaluation of programs from various advisory councils, committees, and subcommittees.
The administrative records include external board records, branch and staff meeting records, and information on Summer Temporary Employment Program projects used by the program.
