Includes 47 filmstrips, ca. 450 air photos, 2 maps, ca. 450 negatives, and ca. 1000 graphs with attached data. | ADMINISTRATIVE | SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The series consists of operational records from the Atmospheric Science Department documenting its atmospheric studies of the formation of storm clouds producing rain and hail; plotting them by radar, air or ground; predicting drought or floods; and plotting air pressure. Included are films showing radar sightings, air photos showing storm damage, maps showing location of damage and hail collected, negatives and Polaroid photos of damage, graphs, calibrations, radiosonde data and codings of wind/air pressure, and sampled information cards on the study.
