| SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The series consists of records from the Biotechnology Department whose mandate was to deliver innovative science and technology solutions in the biotechnology field. Included are files related to business development. Business development means the Council's efforts to market itself, including exploiting technical and marketing strengths, identifying opportunities for sales of its services, networking in the industry, exploring research and development opportunities, trend analysis, and development of strategic marketing plans. The files document individual projects undertaken by the Council on its behalf. Files include policy, procedures, standards, guidelines and reports.
Also included are some files documenting research and market development project activities of the Council, and quality management activities.
