SCOPE AND CONTENT: The series consists of records from the Technology Commercialization Office whose mandate was to deliver innovative technology commercialization. The files primarily document the Internal Investment Fund which is for corporately funded research and development projects, with four separate and distinct intents: 1. Preliminary evaluation and concept development 2. Internal investments in technology 3. Joint Research Ventures with partners 4. Joint product development These records serve to a) monitor the transfer of funds on approved projects and b) collect/circulate proposals that are sent to Management Group. Also included in the series are files related to business development. Business development means the Council's efforts to market itself, including exploiting technical and marketing strengths, identifying opportunities for sales of its services, networking in the industry, exploring research and development opportunities, trend analysis, and development of strategic marketing plans. The files document individual projects undertaken by the Council on its behalf. Files include policy, procedures, standards, guidelines and reports.
