SCOPE AND CONTENT: The series consists of records from the Vegreville Site documenting general research and development activities at the site. The files document individual projects undertaken by staff. Also included is some material on planning, goals and accomplishments of the site including reports, internal reviews, committee records, reports to the Board of Directors, review assessments, and program planning for the site such as administrative and technical support services, physical facilities, and lab maintenance. There are also files related to business development. Business development means the Council's efforts to market itself, including exploiting technical and marketing strengths, identifying opportunities for sales of its services, networking in the industry, exploring research and development opportunities, trend analysis, and development of strategic marketing plans. The files document individual projects undertaken by the Council on its behalf. Files include policy, procedures, standards, guidelines and reports. A small amount of material documents cooperation with related agencies such as the Alberta Agricultural Research Institute, the Energy Resources Conservation Board, and the Alberta Special Waste Management Corporation.
