| SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The series consists of files and related indices pertaining to the appointment and activities of coroners in Alberta, including those coroners working in the Northwest Territories prior to the formation of the province in 1905. The files contain correspondence and orders regarding the appointment of individual coroners as well as their annual returns, correspondence, and reports documenting their investigations into suspicious deaths that did not result in an inquest. |
