| SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The series consists of records of the Office of the Sheriff in the Judicial District of Calgary, including ledgers pertaining to writs of execution for goods and lands (1886-1985); process books (1888-1973), including those for the Okotoks and Crossfield bailiffs (1905-1921); extrajudicial seizures ledgers (1916-1981); Execution Creditor’s Act ledgers and writs (1911-1967); specimen seizure files (1930-1942); and remission of fees ledgers (1949-1971). It also includes a list of writs of execution undertaken in all judicial districts and subdistricts in Alberta (1923-1935). |
