| SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The series consists ledgers, documents and artifacts submitted as evidence in court cases held in the Judicial District of Calgary, which were later separated from their original case files. The series comprises account books from unidentified businesses as well as those of Jesse Stewart, the Canmore Coal Company, the Merchants Bank of Canada, Globe Savings and Loan, the Alexander Hotel, as well as the estate of M.G. McLean. The series also includes correspondence, lists, account books, cheques, stock certificates, agreements, racing tickets, drivers licenses, photographs, receipts, promissory notes, prescription forms, counterfeit currency, dice, and a deck of cards. |
