The files may contain statements of claim, statements of defense, counterclaims, judgments, orders, correspondence, decrees nisi, and decrees absolute. | | ARRANGEMENT NOTE: | Prior to 1968, divorce case files were originally interfiled with the Supreme Court of Alberta (Edmonton) civil case files. While most divorce files prior to 1968 were removed from the civil files to create the separate filing system described here, some divorce files may still be found in the civil case file series (primarily in accession GR1983.0001). To locate the divorce files that remain within the civil case file series, please consult the Supreme Court of Alberta (Edmonton) civil procedure books (GR1986.0375 for 1907-1956, GR1983.0001 for 1956-1968, self-serve microfilm only) to identify the case number of the parties involved and request that case number from the Middle or New Series of GR1983.0001.
