| SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The series consists of case files pertaining to the criminal cases heard within the Judicial District of Peace River, including cases heard by the Supreme Court of Alberta and the District Court of Alberta. The files may contain information and complaints, charges, statements of accused, indictments, warrants, praecipes, fiats, subpoenas, affidavits, warrants, transcripts of proceedings / preliminary hearings, exhibits, correspondence, statements of disbursements, and other legal documents relating to criminal actions or proceedings including appeals. The files may also contain records from the local justices of the peace and police magistrates.
