| SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The series consists of case files (1925-1972) and procedure books (1916-1955) pertaining to the criminal cases heard by both the Supreme Court of Alberta and the District Court of Alberta based in Red Deer. The files may contain information and complaints, charges, statements of accused, indictments, warrants, praecipes, fiats, subpoenas, affidavits, warrants, transcripts of proceedings / preliminary hearings, exhibits, correspondence, statements of disbursements, and other legal documents relating to criminal actions or proceedings including appeals. The series also includes criminal appeals files (1957-1972). |
