| SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The series consists of the files of Major Ronald C. Arthurs pertaining to his role as the Executive Officer of the Veterans Volunteer Reserve in charge of day-to-day operations. The series includes operational files of the Reserve, including registration forms, reports and correspondence with local battalions and unit commanders throughout the province regarding their operations; copies of Board orders; correspondence with volunteer reserves in other provinces and related organizations; index cards pertaining to each branch, its commanding officer, and its strength; lectures pertaining to general operations, air raid precautions, and guerilla warfare; and a history of the Reserve. The series also comprises Arthurs’ daily journals (1940-1944) as well as correspondence, newspaper clippings, service certificates, reports, and meeting minutes pertaining to the Reserve’s establishment and dissolution.
