| SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The series consists of operational records from the Lethbridge Correctional Centre, and reflect the Centre's function to provide for the care, custody, treatment and rehabilitation of adult offenders. The records contain information on topics such as: inmate admittance and discharge (1927-1973); inmate work lists; chief guard's diary (1930); interned German prisoners of war (1941); disinterment of German prisoners of war (1970); monthly and yearly reports; and a death watch record (1948). The types of documents include ledgers, correspondence, reports, minutes and diaries. |
