HISTORY/BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: The first regional associations of the ACFA were formed in 1961, consolidating the previous organization based on parish association. The Cercle local de l’Association canadienne-française de l’Alberta, région de Red Deer was incorporated on May 28, 1999, under the chart of the provincial ACFA. The Cercle aimed to represent and regroup all the Francophones residing in Red Deer and region. In November 2004, the annual general assembly voted for the change of name and status as Association canadienne-française de l’Alberta, Régionale de Red Deer.
SCOPE AND CONTENT: The sous-fonds consists of administrative material and correspondence, project files, development plans, minutes and annual reports, financial statements, bylaws, information bulletins, grant applications and press clippings created by or related to the ACFA Régionale de Red Deer.
