Battleford was a strategic place for the Natives because the location, at the meeting of the Northern Branch of the Saskatchewan River and its affluent the Battle River, was a meeting place for the Natives and the employees of the Hudson’s Bay Company. During the years 1928-1929 the boarding school was at its best with fifty-two boarders. The Sisters left the school in June 1962. | SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The series includes the school and convent records.
