HISTORY/BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: William Sutton was an early settler in the area around Lloydminster, Alberta. Sutton became a reputable farmer in the area and was very active in local affairs, holding the positions of President and Secretary of the local chapter of the United Farmers of Alberta. Sutton’s son, Wilfred, was also active in both agriculture and local affairs in the Lloydminster area.
CUSTODIAL HISTORY:Norman Nelson of Grande Prairie, Alberta, deposited the records in this fonds with the Provincial Archives of Alberta in 1966.
SCOPE AND CONTENT: Fonds consists of records pertaining to Sutton’s his life in the Lloydminster area.
ARRANGEMENT NOTE: Records have been maintained in the order in which they were received.
