HISTORY/BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: | The Constitution of the United Farmers of Alberta (UFA) permitted the formation of District Associations, when it was deemed necessary for carrying out the objectives of the UFA. District Associations had the same relationship to the UFA parent body as local unions. A meeting was held on November 13, 1920, whereby the Huxley to Granger District Association was established. Over the years it included the following UFA and UFWA locals: Allingham, Carbon, Elnora, Ghost Pine, Huxley, Loyalty, Mt. Vernon, Sunnyridge, Swalwell, Three Hills, Trochu and Wimborne |
