HISTORY/BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: | The Windy Hill Local began as the Women’s Section of the Longview Local No. 393 of the United Farmers of Alberta. On February 28, 1923, the Women’s Section decided to reorganize themselves as a local union of the United Farm Women of Alberta, under the name Windy Hill Local, and was allocated local union number 108. |
CUSTODIAL HISTORY: | Jean Morrison deposited the records in the Provincial Archives of Alberta in 1988. |
SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The sous-sous-fonds consists of the records of the Windy Hill Local of the United Farm Women of Alberta, and includes minutes, accounts and membership lists of the local union. |
