| HISTORY/BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: | Jean Gustave Côté was born in 1909; he was the son of Jean Léon and Cécile (Gagnon) Côté. Jean Gustave began a career with the Canadian National Railways in 1925, retiring in 1974. In 1938, he married Cecilia Taylor; they had one son, Jean Édouard. Jean Gustave extensively researched his father's career. He gave talks on his father's achievements and wrote a published biography of his father entitled Senator Jean Léon Côté: a Personal Biography. He traced his genealogy, as part of the research for the book. Jean Gustave Côté passed away in 1999. |
